In July we were able to meet up with my extended family in Jackson Hole, WY for a short but sweet reunion. It is a part of the country I've only been to a couple times, a long time ago, and Jer had never been. Astoundingly beautiful. We camped at Jackson Lake with the fam and even though it rained while there, we left wishing we had more time to enjoy it.
Here's some of the crew. The rest made it the next day.
We got in some nice walks by the water and played/ swam in the lake several times.
I grew up camping with this side of the family most summers throughout my life. One of the things I love about this family is that standard camping food is simply not acceptable. We eat well! Here's a little review of some of the meals:
Croquettes of steak, chicken and veggies:
Fresh pasta with a variety of sauce options, a couple different quiches, a salad and amazing bakery bread.
One afternoon when it was raining at the lake, some of us took off to see Yellowstone.
That's right....Pelicans!!
Quick trip out on the boat and lake swim before heading out:
Felt so good to be immersed in the outdoors, and be with my family. It had been far too long...

I got to spend 5 weeks in this neck of the woods one summer. So much fun!
You just made me miss Jackson Hole a lot. That has to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
And I love seeing pics of your family together. You eat better than almost any family I know, and somehow seem to stay very close to each other in spite of the geographic distances. It's impressive.
How fun it is to see your family all together. What a fun place to have a family reunion.
This made me want to re-live that trip all over again Liz, it was so much fun! Matt and I always love time with the Toblers and it feels great to be considered part of such a great family. This pictures are awesome - thanks for sharing as I am still morning my missing camera during this trip.
