Getting close!

I'm just a few days away from being full-term. The car seat is installed, we have a stash of diapers and we want him here! Only 1.5 weeks until my pregnancy disability leave from work starts. It seems that time has been standing still for so long, I can't believe it is actually this close now. Here is the most recent progress we have captured:

32 weeks:
We were able to get a glimpse of our baby's little face peaking out. Not a perfect picture because he was moving and part of his head was blocked by my bones, but isn't it remarkable how much technology can capture?

The ultrasound nurse told us she was glad we wanted to know the gender because it would have been hard for her to hide it from us! She said he seemed quite proud to show it off! The perinatologist later came in and told us that he hopes that our boy develops a bit of modesty in the future. Hee hee. They both seemed to get a real kick out of it and printed out their own uniquely labelled shots. It made us laugh.

33.5 weeks:
A few weeks ago I sat on a beach in Santa Cruz and watched Jeremy take advantage of the little swell he found. A lady approached me and predicted I was having a boy. "Yep!" I affirmed. "I've never been wrong." she explained. " You see, he told me he was a boy just now. And he told me that his name is Adam." "Ah." I nodded. Later Jeremy told me I should've responded,"Oh, that's not what he told me!" Gotta love the Santa Cruz crazies.

This was my view as I watched Jeremy surf. Jeremy likes to think that his little boy was listening to the waves and dreaming of surfing with his Pops. I guess I should've asked the fetal converser...

36.5 weeks:
Still feeling pretty good physically but ready and anxious for the waiting to be over. We want him here safe and sound!

Enjoying a walk about our new neighborhood:
We can't wait to bring our little one back to our new home. It is pretty much ready for his debut!

Liz,

You look so cute and tiny! I can't believe you're almost due. I guess it always goes faster for everyone else. Congrats on your new home! You'll cherish that home for the rest of your life because you'll always have the memory of bringing your little one home there. Please keep us updated when the happy arrival day arrives!

I can't believe you are almost there. You certainly don't like you are due any day! You look great, don't even look 9 months pregnant. You guys are going to be great parents! I'm so excited for you!
