Here's Alex introducing the film:
Some of his fans, Steve, Betsy and Ella:
Jeremy's brother Brandon, his wife Lucy, their niece Nessie and their son Filipe came to visit. We had a great time playing at the newly renovated children's playground in Golden Gate Park, and then had burritos. Aren't the kids adorable?
The following weekend we went down to Jeremy's hometown for the wedding of some friends of ours, Jessica and John. They got married at their adobe house and it was a very casual event, with funny vows they had written.

We stayed down south the rest of the weekend and hung out with Jeremy's brother Jordan. Jeremy and Dustin surfed Asilomar and I ran down the 17 mile drive.
We also worked on fliers for Dustin's new dog walking business, which we named "Canine Cruz'n" since he was living in Santa Cruz. We were dying laughing at the hilarious results, which were too cheesy and embarrassing to actually use. Here are some of the photos we used.
A little later in August my parents visited San Francisco (my dad had a conference). We had a delicious dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in town, EOS. They also joined us Wednesday night for the Nike run, followed up by King of Thai. I had fun shopping with my mom and helping her pick out new clothes since a lot of hers got trashed from her world travels.
That weekend we all traveled down to LA for my grandad's 90th birthday party (it was a surprise). My aunt Lynda had us all compose entries and send photographs. Here are a couple samples that I liked:
Grandma, Grandad, Alex, Emily and my mom:

The party was fabulous. It was fun to see everyone, the food was great and the book Lynda put together was so beautiful.
Lynda's house is amazing, right on a canal in Venice. She just sold it so this was the last party we got to enjoy there, so we snapped a few photos.
That big glass wall opens up completely.
We also were happy we got to stay with Brandon and Lucy and spend time with them. Our friend Chris stopped by shortly before we left to fly home.
The very next weekend we headed out to Salt Lake City for Labor Day weekend. Such a busy summer! That post to follow...
