A couple weeks ago as I was walking to work I noticed this huge, plush frog out on the sidewalk. It is common in SF for people to put things out on the curb when they no longer want them. Usually, within hours, this item has been snagged by someone with a penchant for free stuff.
Through a full week, twice a day, I continued to see this frog at various spots along Kirkham Street. On the way to work he would be at Kirkham and 11th, propped up on a planter. On the way home from work the same day, he would be at Kirkham and 12th, resting up against the wheel of an old Honda. This wiley, seemingly inanimate frog amused me throughout the week. I was eager to see where he would show up next....until I realized that this frog seemed to be gradually getting closer and closer to our house, and then it freaked me out. I expressed my concern to Jeremy, Betsy and Steve one day as we walked down the street and I pointed out said frog to them. Of course on the way back, Mr. Frog was yet closer to our house, proving my point. As we passed him, Jeremy snuck behind and kicked the frog up ahead me, just visible in my periphery. Already in a spooked state, I screamed when I saw it moving before my brain got a chance to process the obvious.
The next morning Jeremy and I were leaving early for our trip to Vegas. We planned to drop off the frog in front of Betsy and Steve's doorstep, but we were running late and didn't have time. I was sad when we returned from our trip and I didn't see the Be Mine Frog on my walk to work. Apparently, he had finally found a home...but probably the friendly Sunset Scavenger (our neighborhood garbage truck) picked him up.

This is funny because yesterday was wondering if you still liked frogs, yeah uh random.
My dad sent me this jewled frog, the mouth opens up and you can put stuff in it from the middle east. It's cute but was thinking you probably would enjoy it more than me. Looks like you still like frogs:) If I can find where Hannah put it will send it to you.
Oh my gosh...I never noticed there was sheer leopard print fabric around the heart. Now I'm even more sad that frog is long gone!
