Jeremy surfed Ehukai beach park, where Pipeline and Backdoor are if the swell is big enough.
We went back to the old stomping ground, ate at L&Ls (nostalgic for Jeremy reliving his post-surf meal of teri beef plate lunch). We hung out at Laie point, which was at the end of the street where I lived. We stopped by my old house and it still looked the same!

We hung out on Waimea beach. Jeremy didn't realize the camera was set on black and white mode, but the colors really were amazing!
Mmm...Leonard's haupia filled malasadas are the best...
...but you have to be careful not to squirt the haupia out the other end when you sink your teeth in.
Lanikai is a gorgeous, gorgeous beach with amazingly colored coral reefs to snorkle around.
Jeremy got some great body surfing waves at Sandy Beach
We stopped by the good ole' Blow Hole
Here's Jeremy's second session at Ehukai. We were accompanied by our friend Kelsey and her darling little girl, Lauren.
My favorite North Shore beach is Sunset Beach
I got to surf Haleiwa a couple times and had lots of fun.
Jeremy was stoked when the weekend came and he got to go surfing with his friend Kia. They paddled out at Lanis and had tons of fun.
I hung out with the turtles on the shore. I also got to see huge humpback whales jumping in the distance. Spectacular!! So was the boys' surfing, of course.
Kia hooked us up with stand up paddle lessons in Haliewa. It was so fun to go with Kia and Kelsey.
That weekend we also hit up some of the best treats in Haleiwa with the Kamauus.
Chocolates and Shave Ice!!
Lauren went to town sucking the syrup out of the cones.
We also explored the area up by the air strip where I once went skydiving for my 21st birthday!
We rounded out a perfect day with a delicious meal at Haliewa Joe's. Here's a picture of my mahi steamed in a Ti leaf.
That night we stayed at a hotel at Waikiki since we flew out the next day. Our room was huge, with 2 huge beds! We joked about setting the alarm so we could switch beds in the middle of the night, just so it wouldn't go to waste. We watched fireworks from one of our 2 balconies and had some hot chocolate at Starbucks.
Bye, bye Hawaii. We love you and hope to be back soon!!
