Monday morning I went for a run and Todd joined me for the last 3/4 mile. He wanted to see if he could manage the 5K Resolution Run in Carmel the next day. He did well, but informed me that his legs hurt way too bad to keep going.
We made preparations for Jordan's birthday celebration: a cake and cheery banner. Unfortunately the chocolate, chocolate chip cake didn't get quite enough time in the oven before we had to head out to Monterey for his birthday lunch at P.F. Chang's.
Jordan was kind enough to share his b-day dessert with Ben:
Filipe looking at it so wistfully:
After lunch, everyone went shopping for various things. Jeremy and I went back home and played Ms. Pac Man, and made an attempt at a fancy car video game. We were laughing so hard at my replays because I couldn't for the life of me drive straight. When it comes to video games, I am severely developmentally delayed. Tetris and Ms Pac Man are as complicated as I can get.
After everyone came home we ate the chocolate cake (sagging and doughy in spots but still pretty good) and Jordan opened presents.
Filipe knows how to relax after a long day of playing.
Todd and Ben got a Playstation for Christmas. The big boys played with it far more than they did...
We awaited the New Year by watching the newest Pirates of the Carribean movie. I fell asleep during the movie, before midnight. What a party pooper I am.
