We started it out by working at the Nike Resolution Run event. Jeremy and I are both employed as pace leaders, which is a fun way to meet new runners and help them meet their goals. It's funny...I've been sharing a pace group with Pierre, one of the guys I did my first marathon with in St. George, Utah. And now here we are in SF. Saturday's run took us through Golden Gate Park, which was fragrant and gorgeous with sunlight streaming through the trees.

After the run Jeremy, Pierre and I went to our favorite bakery, Tartine for breakfast.

It was packed, as usual. As we neared the end of the long line a table for three was vacated right next to me. I quickly snagged it and we felt quite fortunate to be able to enjoy our tasty morsels with leisure. Here are some of their breakfast pastries:

We got home and showered, and then strolled down to one of our neighborhood produce markets to purchase what we need for the next week. We did a little window shopping for new glasses for me.
After dropping off our produce, we grabbed our bikes and messenger bags and rode to Trader Joe's. While we were there I phoned my brother to see if he wanted anything from there since we are visiting him next week. I got to talk to my little neice, Juniper. I couldn't make out most of what she was saying, but she was quite chatty and obviously thrilled to be talking on the phone.
I love grocery shopping in general, but TJs makes me especially happy. Plus it was a fun little bike ride.
Jeremy and I got his and hers tennis rackets for Christmas so we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous day and give them a go. We dropped off our groceries, picked up the rackets and balls and headed back down to Golden Gate Park. I'm horrible at tennis, but it was still fun, and I think I'll get better with practice since I've played a total of 1 time before. Jeremy got quite the workout running around the court after my crazy hits. We played until the sun went down and then rode home for dinner and coziness.
I love weekends like this, with plenty of laughs and time outside.
