In the summer, we live in a cloud

So every summer in San Francisco, we live inside a cloud. Something to do with the high temperatures inland pulling the marine layer over our city or some weather-man jargon like that. Particularly our neighborhood close to the beach.

However, you drive a couple minutes outside the city and quite suddenly you find yourself in bright sunshine, the heat of summer. Sometimes the cloud doesn't extend beyong the hill on which I work and the other half of the city is sunny.

This past June, Matt and Jessica came to visit. We went on a lovely hike up Mount Tam.

Here's the view of my cloud from Mt Tam.

We perched up on some rocks and had an awesome picnic of cheese from Amsterdam, baguette and fine italian olives all from none other than Bi-Rite Market, the best market EVER.

As we get into fall it's getting less foggy, more sunny. I'm ready for the perfect 75 degree, fall SF weather.
