At the beginning of June I traveled with a few of my teammates to Albany, New York where we raced as an invited team in the Freifhofer's 5K for Women. Our hotel was in downtown Albany, which has a real historic feel to it. There are some beautiful old buildings and stone roads. The race was an awesome event, aside from the pouring rain. We got boxes of cookies and Donettes from Freihofer's bakery--you can't beat that! For the individual competition, some of the best female runners in the world competed and we got to meet them.
