
I had such a nice time in Michigan the last weekend in April (I know, always late in posting). We gathered to celebrate Michael's graduation. I also wanted to get to know Amanda better. I was so pleased to see Michael so in love and the two of them so happy and excited for marriage. The whole weekend had a happy and playful vibe, even when we were just helping in the kitchen. It was just a reminder of how much I love being with my family. Every time we are together it feels like we're right back where we left off; like we still live together as a family. I'm so glad I grew up in a culture that values family so much -- they contribute so much to my happiness. Although I missed Jeremy being there tons, it was a good thing he didn't come because otherwise it would have been SO hard to leave.
Kudos to Emily who tackled the weekend with strep throat and was still fun to be around! Also, special kudos to Alex whose dissertation was due the next week and still sacrificed several precious hours to hang out with us! A big congrats to him for turning it in!!!
