You might be sick of hearing about my birthday, but I have an awesome wife that goes crazy for birthdays. Sunday after my birthday I woke up to these: banana pancakes with berries and bananas. This is one of my all time favorites.
We were also dog-sitting Milo for the weekend so we were at the Beckstead's house for the weekend. Liz invited some of our great SF friends over for a wonderful dinner.
We have such a great group of friends here in SF. Thanks to all of you for being such good friends to Liz and I and thanks also for the fun presents.
Liz made, per my request, a veggie pot pie with potatoes, butternut squash, onions, carrots, asparagus, and a white wine, saffron, sage, cream sauce. It was perfect.
For dessert we had my favorite PB cookies and my favorite B& R peanut butter and chocolate ice cream ( which also happens to be Liz's favorite, and turns out is Betsy's too). We used the cookies and ice cream to make ice cream sandwiches. It was beautiful.
Thanks Liz-- you are my absolute best friend and I love you tons!
